Are Your Thoughts Bringing You Comfort?

Good Morning,

"But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple." Psalms 5:7

Psalms 94:19, "In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul."

As I read these verses this morning I began to rejoice in Psalms 94:19.  I was reminded there is nothing better to think about, to dwell upon, to meditate on than how God has saved me, and is lovingly faithful to me every day.  Any true thoughts about God will delight your soul.  Why?  because they bring comfort in the midst of a world filled with wickedness.  God's Word brings light, the daily news brings darkness.  God's Word gives guidance, the daily news brings confusion.  God's redemption rejoices the heart, man's works bring disappointment.  It is obvious today that if you and I will dwell on the things found in the Word of God, our soul will delight in every nugget of truth we read, because it will comfort and calm our soul.  "The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart:  the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes."  Psalms 19:8  "Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts."  Jeremiah 15:16

Don't waste your time filling your mind with the things of this world, spend your day dwelling upon the comforts that delight your soul, found on the pages of God's precious Word.  "Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  9Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."  Philippians 4:8-9

Have a great day focusing upon the things that comfort and delight your soul.

Your Friend and His,
