Deuteronomy 3:21-24, "And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms the whither thou passest. Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. And I besought the LORD at that time, saying, O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?"

What a promise God passed on to the children of Israel through Moses, and then ultimately to Joshua. Basically God grew the confidence of these men through His power and His promises. Notice how Joshua's confidence grew:

• It grew by what he had already seen the LORD do - vs. 21 "Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done..."

• It grew by what Moses promised Joshua - vs. 22 "Ye shall not fear them (the kings or nations they would fight): for the LORD your God he shall fight for you."

• It grew because of God's power - vs. 24, "...thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?"

Confidence is not cockiness. Confidence is something that comes because of God. The flesh is limited and imperfect, because we are human, but with God all things are possible! Mark 10:37, “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible."

May we become increasingly confident in our God!!!   Are you trusting Him fully each day?  He is almighty, and He is trust worthy!
