Trusting God to Accomplish Things Through You

Esther 4:14, "For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Queen Esther's uncle, Mordecai, spoke the words of Esther 4:14 to Esther after a decree was put forth to kill all the Jews throughout the kingdom.  Esther 3:13, "And the letters were sent by posts into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day...and to take the spoil of them for a prey."

Have you ever thought about the way God works to place you in places where you can impact HIS kingdom and others?  God has chosen each of us to live in this day and age.  It could have been different but it’s not.  Here we are living life in 2019, the world is a mess, churches are struggling, the enemies of Christ seem to be triumphing, and you are attempting to serve God and glorify Him.  It takes a willingness to sacrifice in order to make a positive impact upon the lives of others.  Mordecai, through his statement, indicates his belief that God would spare the Jewish people.  He knew the prophecies concerning the welfare of the Jews, but he indicates the need for the Queen to risk her life, to speak up, and see if she was the one God would use to spare the lives of the Jewish people.  Mordecai injects those powerful words, "...who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Don't ever doubt the fact that God wants to use you to make a positive impact upon His kingdom and upon others.  Simply understand you have to be willing to sacrifice your own personal comfort; you must obey the Lord in every area of your life and make yourself available in serving the Lord everyday no matter where you are.  This includes serving God with gladness in your local New Testament Church.

Queen Esther would risk her life, but before taking this risky step, she asked others to join her in fasting for three days.  We will talk about the outcome later.

Are you willing to sacrifice your own personal comfort in order to make a positive, biblical impact, upon God's kingdom?  It might surprise you one day looking back, what the Lord chose to accomplish through your life.  For I believe, we are alive, for such a time as this!!!

QUESTIONS TO PONDER

2. Is there an element of sacrifice demonstrated in your life in order to impact the Lord’s work? Will you continue to sacrifice your personal comfort in the future?

3. Who have you impacted recently for the glory of God? What did you do?
