Job 34:10, "Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity."

One day I was visiting a man in the hospital who would later die from pancreatic cancer. His wife attended our church and she was concerned for his soul. As I began to talk to him about the Lord I discovered something that I found strange. He believed there was a God, but didn't believe He was sinless or perfect. I don't know if this belief had developed because of his own illness, or if it was the result of some other person's influence in his life. Nonetheless, I asked him two simple questions, "Do you believe the Bible to be totally and completely true?" To which he answered "yes." Then I asked, "If I could show you that the Bible teaches God is sinless would you believe it?" He again responded "yes." I was thankful for his "yes" responses because it was simple for me to show the man that very moment the truth about God's sinless, holiness, and His perfection. After that, I showed him that God's Son was sinless, in my devotions earlier that morning, I had read that very truth in 1 Peter 2:21-22, "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22WHO DID NO SIN......" My visitation partner on that visit had read the very same truth in his devotions in another passage!!! He had read that very morning in Hebrews 4:15, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, YET WITHOUT SIN."

God had prepared us both that morning to meet this man who desperately needed Jesus. My partner and I were both glad we had been faithful in our Bible reading that morning. Bill then went on to trust Jesus Christ as his Savior. Bill was later released from the hospital, followed the Lord in baptism, came to church on Sunday mornings, and died about 6 months after his salvation. It would take him about two hours to get dressed to come to church and he was completely worn out by the time he got back home. This man had demonstrated the power of a Sinless God to save a man from his sin. Hallelujah!!!

Ron Hamilton wrote a song titled "Rejoice in the Lord," the chorus says, "O rejoice in the Lord. He makes no mistake. He knoweth the end of each path that I take. For when I am tried and purified, I shall come forth as gold."

I am glad to serve a God who is sinless, perfect, and holy. ". . .far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity."
