No More Procrastinating

Ezekiel 12:25, "For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD."

People live life with a bent toward procrastination, thinking they have time when in reality they don't.  There is a spiritual mindset among God's people and among those who are lost to procrastinate spiritually.  In today's text, the people heard the warnings of God's prophets but because a period of time had elapsed, they didn't believe it would come to pass in their day.  Therefore, the Lord told Ezekiel He would "...say the word, and will perform it..."

We need to take God's Word seriously and apply it immediately.  Procrastination causes us to live in disobedience and with a false sense of being.  We have heard for many years Jesus is coming, but most people live like it isn't going to take place in their lifetime.  We have been warned of God's impending judgment upon America, but we think, it isn't going to happen in our lifetime.  We need to stop believing everything is fine when it isn't.  Ezekiel 12 concludes with "Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD, There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD."  (Ezekiel 12:27-28)

Ecclesiastes 8:11, "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

May we heed God's Word and immediately respond in obedience and realize how it should be applied in our own lives.  Don't be a procrastinator!
