Paul’s Optimism!!!
READ Hebrews 6
In yesterday’s devotion we saw there are those who are slow in growing. In Hebrews 6 there are some who completely turn their back on God (vs. 4-8). Now notice Paul’s optimism as it relates to his readers. “But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Paul anticipated things which accompany salvation. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature… People who are saved want to obey the Lord. They get baptized as an outward sign of their faith. They identify with a Bible preaching church. They enjoy fellowshipping with the saints. They also begin to practice separation from people and things of the world. They begin to read and study the Bible. They learn how to pray.
Is your life a positive reflection of one who is growing in the Lord? If not, why not?

MEDITATIONS
1. List some things that accompany salvation. Are these things in your life?
2. Write out 2 Corinthians 5:17. What has changed since your salvation? What are some of the new things in your life? What are some of the old things that have passed away?
3. Is your life a positive reflection of one who is growing in the Lord? Explain your answer.
4.What does this mean “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love”?
