OUR GOD COMMUNICATES
READ Hebrews 1
There are those who often say, “If only God would speak to me, I would then know what to do.” Well, God does speak to us, and it is clearly seen in verses 1 and 2.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds.”
These verses plainly demonstrate the manner in which God spoke to humanity up to the time of the ministry of Jesus Christ, and thereafter. Verse 1 states that God at various times and different ways spoke in the Old Testament era through revelations given to prophets. Verse 2 explains that since the death of Jesus Christ, God has chosen to speak through His Son. Jesus Christ speaks authoritatively as the One who is the heir of all things, and as the Creator of all things.
The Bible is the complete revelation of everything God wants you and me to know. Nothing more and nothing less. So, God has spoken to you. What you need to do is determine to heed and obey His Word as revealed to you in His Holy Word.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
