God Finishes What He Begins
Psalm 138:8, "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands."
This verse shows me that not only is God at work, but He is working in my life. How precious is it to realize that God is working in your life personally? "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me..." The word "perfect" is a verb which means "to bring to completion". You can't complete the job without doing the whole thing. This truth is also found in Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
What is it in your life that God is perfecting right now? Are you aware of the voice of God speaking to you about things to change, things to refine, things to add, or things to subtract from your life? God is at work in every believer, are you seeking to become more like Christ or are you simply coasting in neutral or even sliding backward? Be attentive to the Holy Spirit as He speaks to you concerning His work in you.
I'm glad God is at work in my life! Lord, I surrender myself to your work in me today! Fill me Holy Spirit with your power and guidance.
