WHICH ROAD ARE YOU TRAVELING?
Read Proverbs 16:12-22
Proverbs 16:17 "The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul." Your daily walk is indicative of the highway you are traveling upon. Life is like one long road. Where you're headed, and how you get there is important. Upright men run away from and avoid evil. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful” (Psalm 1:1). The truth at hand is that those upright will not only avoid evil, they will flee from it. During the regathering of Israel in the Millennial Kingdom, Christ will rule in Jerusalem. Note what is stated by Isaiah in chapter thirty-five verse eight, "And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it..." Are you traveling on Highway of Holiness?
Additionally, "...he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. The thought is that one who guards his way will preserve himself from all manner of trouble. “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise” (Ephesians 5:15). Wise men will take the highway out of sin city. Fools look for the closest exit ramp to it. Are you traveling in the right or the wrong direction?
