Four Important Words
Mark 11:22, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, "Have faith in God."
Everything in the Christian life rests upon faith. I want to affirm the fact that faith is not reckless, but it rests upon the character of our God. Our faith is not in governments or in good economic times, but it is in God. Notice what the Bible has to say about faith:
Mark 11:22 declares that we are to have faith in God.
Galatians 3:11 & Hebrews 10:38 state "...the just shall live by faith."
Hebrews 11:6 teaches that without faith it is impossible to please God.
Romans 14:23 tells us that whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Ephesians 2:8 teaches that it is by grace through faith that we are saved.
Mark 11:22-24 teaches it is through faith that great things are accomplished. (See also the entire chapter of Hebrews 11)
Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible says, "Make use of that faith which has God for its author, which is the work of God, and of his operation, a free grace gift of his; and which has God for its object; and is supported by his power, and encouraged by his goodness, truth, and faithfulness."
I pray that we will all allow these four important words to impact our lives for our good and God's glory. Make sure to have faith in God.
