THE ANTICHRIST - HIS COMING DESCRIBED

READ 2 Thessalonians 2:3

“…Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed…”

His coming is described.  It says that man of sin will be revealed.  In verse 9 it says, "even him whose coming." I want to point to you that these two words, “revealed” and “coming”, are the same words that are used in connection with the return of the Lord Jesus.  So, in the antichrist, the man of sin, you have one who will seek to duplicate the Lord Jesus.

  • Jesus has a coming. The antichrist will have a coming.

  • Jesus is revealed. The antichrist is going to be revealed.

  • Jesus Christ did miracles. The antichrist is going to do miracles.

The Bible tells us there will be a “falling away” before the coming of the Anti-Christ.  The Greek word “apostasia” is the word translated “falling away”.  It seems this falling away speaks of the general spiritual condition of the church in the last days, concerning its departure from the truth and lukewarm approach toward Christ.

Needless to say, the antichrist is going to have a coming.
