Opportunities to Repent
Isaiah 55:6-7, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."
God demonstrates the depths of His mercy in verse six, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near." While we are living there is an opportunity to seek the LORD and to call upon Him. Sometimes people feel they have gone too far to establish a relationship with God. This is never the case! Someone once said, "There are three things that God has never seen. First, God has never seen a sinner that He did not love (John 3:16). Second, He has never seen a sinner that He could not save (Romans 10:13). And third, He has never seen a person who has not sinned (Romans 3:23) The opportunity to repent is available as long as you are living. Take the steps today while the LORD can be found, and while He is near to either trust Him as your Saviour or to get right in your relationship. The directions of verse seven are clear, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD..." What is God's promised response? He will, "...have mercy upon him... and He will abundantly pardon."
Seek the Lord today!

MEDITATIONS
1. Anyone who has breath has an opportunity to repent. Do you need to repent today?
2. Is it possible for someone to put off repentance so long, that they can’t do so now?
3. Is there something keeping you from repentance? How does God want you to respond to His mercy?
