God Communicating to Man
Exodus 32:16, "And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.”
There are several amazing facts about God in relation to man. I am amazed that He loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for our sins. I am also amazed that He loves us so much that He communicates with us. God communicates primarily through His Word.
Moses had received two tables of stone written on front and back. They are described in our verse as being "the work of God, and the ....writing of God." God has chosen over centuries of time to communicate to us through the Old and New Testaments. What can we say about the Bible? Despite the diversity of the Bible books and their separation in time, there are several unifying themes that run through both the Old and New Testaments:
There is only one true God. He created all that is the universe and takes an active, ongoing and loving role in its maintenance.
God loves mankind. Man has been created with the power to choose between good and evil.
God seeks the salvation of all people from the power of sin and evil. God has intervened directly in human affairs and has also sent the prophets and, finally, His Son Jesus, in order that we might find salvation by grace through faith.
The BIBLE IS THE WORK AND WORD OF GOD!!!!! It should be heeded and obeyed by every person who names the Name of Christ.
