The Tabernacle of Testimony

Exodus 38:21, "This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest."

Many ornate and valuable items comprised the sum total of items utilized to build the tabernacle.  The items were provided by those who gave willingly.  God then used the wisdom of Bezaleel and Aholiab to lead the construction team involved in building the tabernacle. The phrase "tabernacle of testimony" is what spoke to me today.

Every aspect of the tabernacle testifies of the redemptive work of Christ and His relationship to the believer.  The tabernacle is a testimony of God's work in the lives of people. The details are sometimes tiresome, but thank God for what He testifies to us through the furnishings of the tabernacle. This tabernacle became a place where the Levites performed their priestly ministry. The testimony conveyed the will of God in the tablets of the law.

Thank God for His testimony to us!
