An Altar Most Holy
Exodus 40:10, "And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy."
The word "altar" occurs more than 400 times in our Bible. It speaks of redemption and sacrifice. God stated His opinion about the altar of the tabernacle as He called it "an altar most holy." It was not an altar built for decoration, rather it was an altar reminding us of God's holiness and the price of redemption.
May we always keep in mind the price of our redemption, and be thankful for what God did through His Son to provide forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace. 2 Corinthians 5:21, "For he hath made him to be sin forus, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
Thank you Lord for paying our sin debt.
