Are You A Committed Christian?
Malachi 2:2, "If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart."
The priests are being warned by God in this verse. Two complaints are lodged one is about failing to hear and the other taking to heart the imperative of giving glory to God.
We need to take our Christianity seriously. I need to be in a constant mode of learning and listening. So many people have very little interest in being a student of Christ and of Christianity. From our own studious nature, God works on the heart. Our heart is then shaped into a heart for God. Don't treat your life with God filled with apathy. Give God the glory He deserves, listen with the intention of being obedient, and become the Christian God wants.
Do you have a heart to hear and be a student? Do you take seriously your need to bring glory to God's name? I hope you do.
