Led's by God's Counsel

Psalm 73:24, "Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory."

This Psalm of Asaph begins with a confession concerning his envy in relation to the prosperity of the wicked. His heart had been fooled into believing that greater were the rewards of the wicked than the rewards experienced by those who know and follow the LORD. A turning point came when he went into the sanctuary of God (vs. 17), he understood their end, and his folly became a painful reality. We need to make sure we take time every day to walk in a right relationship with God, understanding the stark differences concerning those who are saved and those who are lost. Notice the context of verse 24, " 21Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. 22So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. 23Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. 24Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. " Repentance is sweet!!!

Life is filled with learning curves, Asaph had come through with passing grades, He understood that God's guiding hand would be ever present and available to him. Today, every child of God can depend upon God's Word and the Holy Spirit to guide him through life. And then when life is over, He will be received into glory. That place of eternal bliss that the Bible calls Heaven. Living in the presence of God forevermore.

Look forward to living daily, following God's counsel, and live with the anticipation of the Lord taking you to Heaven one day.
